Lindsay Kiesow Obituary

Lindsay Ann Kiesow, age 29, daughter of Jim and Becky Kiesow of Colfax, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, following a short illness. At the time of her passing, Lindsay was living in Minneapolis. Lindsay was born January 28, 1987, and grew-up in rural Colfax. She attended Colfax Public Schools, graduating in 2005. At the beginning of her senior year in high school, Lindsay attended Chippewa Valley Technical College, taking advantage of the Youth Options Program and getting a jump start on college. After two years at CVTC, she transferred to UW-Stout, graduating in 2008 with a degree in Information and Communication Technologies. She then attended Globe University in the Twin Cities, earning a degree in Digital Video and Media Production. Lindsay had a life-long love of theatre, film and any musical, especially if it starred Kristen Chenowith. She loved writing scripts with her elementary school friends in which they pretended to be the characters in the dramas. She was active in the Eau Claire Children's Theatre and while attending college worked at the State Theatre as a House Manager, a job she truly loved. Lindsay was involved in several film projects in the Twin Cities, worked part-time at the Minnesota Film Board and with many film festivals in the Twin Cities. At the time of her passing, Lindsay was working with the Industrial Group at the Valspar Paint Company in Minneapolis. She loved her job, her co-workers and the clients they served. Lindsay is survived by her parents, Jim and Becky Kiesow of Colfax. Being an only child, Lindsay loved her dogs. She called them her "brothers" and had many over the years. She will be sorely missed by Codey, Shadow, Gabe and Samson. Lindsay was particularly close to her maternal aunts, Jane Peterson Horne of Eau Claire, who she spent endless hours talking to, Mary Christiansen of Fall Creek and Sally (Erik) Gourd of Tampa, Fla. Lindsay had a special friend, David Hopson of Minneapolis. She is also survived by three cousins whom she grew-up with, Justin (Jess Walters) Christiansen of Eau Claire, Aaron (Jamie Austin) Christiansen of Osseo and Ashley (Isaac) Kramer of Chippewa Falls; and special friend and former college roommate, Jessie Wilson. Lindsay was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Irene Peterson and her paternal grandparents, Harley and Evelyn Kiesow. In lieu of flowers, Jim and Becky are requesting that contributions be made in Lindsay's name to the Eau Claire Children's Theatre or Bob's House for Dogs. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Colfax Lutheran Church, 601 River St. in Colfax, with Pastor Les Walck officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, at the church. Burial will be held at a later date.
