Evelyn P. Oleson

Evelyn P. Oleson, 86, of Colfax, WI, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Colfax Nursing Home. She was born on September 5, 1927, in Colfax, the daughter of Martin and Selma (Tollefson) Peterson. Evelyn married LeRoy “Huck” Oleson on April 27, 1946, in Colfax. Evelyn was a wonderful mother, full of life, who loved playing all card games, dancing, singing and Zilch. Evelyn is survived by her four daughters, Dianne (Jim) Seehaver, Suzanne (Richard) Myers, Marianne (Russ) Zimmerman, and Janne Daly; fiancé, Don Williams; one brother, Clifford (Phyllis) Peterson; two sisters, Sylvia (Richard) Thomas and Ellen Luer; twelve grandchildren, Rich Seehaver, Scott Seehaver, Travis (Angelakay) Seehaver, Ryan (Joy) Seehaver, Kim (Greg) Retzloff, Kyle (Kirsten) Myers, Nicole (Andrew) Meade, Nicholas (Becky) Zimmerman, Holly Zimmerman, Nathan (Megan) Daly, Peter Daly and Jonathan Daly; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Minda Nazier. Evelyn is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Joanne; son-in-law, Harlan Earnhart; two sisters, Olive Marsac and Ruth Krueger; and two brothers, Sigurd Peterson and Erling Peterson. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave. in Colfax, with Pastor Leslie Walck officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Holden Lutheran Cemetery, Grant Township.
