Jerry R. Sunderlin

Jerry R. Sunderlin, 78, of Colfax, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 8, 2018, with his family by his side. Jerry was born on July 29, 1939, in Menomonie, to Rex and Lucille (Strawn) Sunderlin. He attended school in Elk Mound and graduated with the Class of 1959. He worked at Sanna Dairy for 40 years. During his time there, he had many perfect attendance records and has many certificates honoring this. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips out West. He also enjoyed his cars, taking care of his lawn, attending family parties, and helping his neighbors. His family was very important to him. Even though Jerry lived alone, he was never lonely as he surrounded himself with family, friends and neighbors. Jerry is survived by his niece, Tammy (Kyle) Dresel; brother-in-law, Clifford Foslid; great nieces and nephews, Janesa, Jacob, Jamee, Brooklynn, and Hunter; and great-great niece, Jayde. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Joyce Foslid; and nephew, Robert “Bob” Foslid. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 E. Railroad Ave, Colfax, with Pastor Ron Wik officiating. Visiation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, and again one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lower Running Valley Cemetery, Colfax.
