Marvel Entzminger Obituary

Marvel O. Entzminger, 100, of Colfax, WI, left her earthly home and went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center in Colfax, WI. Marvel was born in St. Paul, MN, on April 17, 1915, to Martin and Agnes (Paulsrud) Wangensteen. She had taught school in Colfax and Altoona in the late 1930`s and returned to teaching in Colfax in the early 1960`s, retiring in 1977. Marvel married Perley Entzminger on August 9, 1941, in St. Paul, MN. She was a member of Colfax Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary 2016 since 1961. Marvel is survived by her children, Karen (Dennis) Wagner, Kathy (Mark Halpin) Mitchell and George (Barb) Entzminger all of Colfax; nine grandchildren; 27 great and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Violet Magnuson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Ove and Miles Wangensteen; one great-great-granddaughter, Addison Grace Coates. Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Colfax Lutheran Church, 601 River St. in Colfax, with Pastor Leslie Walck officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am up until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax. The family of Marvel would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Colfax Health & Rehabilitation Center for the loving care shown to her during her eight years of residency
