Millicent C. Myers

Millicent C. Myers, 93, of Elk Mound, WI, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Dunn County Healthcare Center in Menomonie. Millicent was born in Eau Claire on June 27, 1920, to William C. and Clara M. (Solberg) Benson. She grew up in Albertville and attended Colfax High School, graduating with the Class of 1939. Millicent then attended the School for Nursing. Millicent married John LeRoy Myers in Big Elk Creek Church on August 11, 1952. Millicent was an inspiration to all that know her and will be missed by all her family and friends. Millicent is survived by two sons, Robert (Ann) Myers of Elk Mound and Craig (Jan Mainz) Myers of Rochester, MN; six grandchildren, Pete (Michelle) Myers, Robert Myers Jr., Sarah Myers, Becky Myers, Rochelle (Phil) Wedebing, and Andrea Myers; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave. in Colfax, WI. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013, and one hour prior to the service Monday at Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be in Big Elk Creek Cemetery in the Town of Elk Mound.
