Patrick R. Ziebell

Patrick Robert Ziebell, 50, of Elk Mound, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013, surrounded by his wife and family after a strong fight of Cancer. Patrick was born in Eau Claire, on May 10, 1963, to Algie and the late Robert Ziebell . He graduated from Colfax High School in 1981. He continued his education and graduated from C.V.T.C. in 1983. Patrick married Judy Posch on April 20, 1985. They had three sons Benjamin, Nicholas, and Christopher. He continued in his passion of working on vehicles at several automotive shops and by working out of his garage. Eventually he opened his own shop in Elk mound and then in Eau Claire. Patrick enjoyed doing woodworking, hunting, fishing, working on race cars and playing with his grandchildren. He would also spend a lot of time teaching his sons all the skills that he had to offer. He grew up in the Colfax Lutheran Church, and branched into Shepherd of the Hill in Elk Mound. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Judy Posch Ziebell; 3 sons, Benjamin (Georjan) and grandson, William; Nicholas and granddaughter Madison; and Christopher; mother, Algie Ziebell; sister, Tina Bradford - nieces, Londan Harris, Chantell Harris, and Olivia Bradford; nephew, Dalton Bradford; mother-in-law, Jean Posch; and brothers-in-law, Roger Posch-niece Brittany Posch and nephew Roger Posch Jr; Jim Posch; Ron Posch; and several aunts , uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Ziebell; grandparents, Herbert and Mildred (Harrington) Ziebell; Palmer and Evelyn (Shay) Olson; and father-in-law, Louis Posch. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Colfax Lutheran Church, 601 River St. in Colfax, with Pastor Les Walck and John Hosmann officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, in Colfax. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, from 4-8pm at Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
