Agnes B. Holte, 87, of Colfax, died on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center, Colfax. Agnes was born on Jun 4, 1930, in the Township of Elk Mound, WI, a daughter of Arthur and Olga (Frogner) Stobb. She married Arnold Holte on February 28, 1953. Together they had four children. Agnes attended Colfax Elementary until the 8th grade. She went back to school in her 50's to obtain her GED. She worked with the Eau Claire County Nutrition Program for many years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, baking, and was a self-taught musician. Agnes is survived by her children, Lorence Holte, Beverly (Gerry) Strand, Paul (Joette) Holte, Dale (Lisa) Holte; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Raymond, Clifford, Edwin, and Orville Stobb; and sister, Margaret Jenson. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave, Colfax. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. and continue until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. The family wishes to thank Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center staff for their kind, compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the humane shelter of your choice.
