Arvid Gullickson, 82, of Colfax, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, after several medical issues. Arvid was born on June 11, 1932, to Alvin and Mildred (Knutson) Gullickson. On October 27, 1962, he married Ruaine Secraw. Arvid hauled milk and then worked many years for Bergman and Allied Blacktop driving truck. After retirement, a most enjoyable pastime was driving different, scenic routes to the casino and playing blackjack. Arvid also loved working in the garage on his vehicles. We love you and will miss you dearly. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruaine; sons, David (Sharon) of Chippewa Falls and Roger of Colfax; daughter, Brenda (Craig) Schleusner of Colfax; seven grandchildren, Darin (Karli Sadecki) Gullickson, Kelsey, Heather and Trey Gullickson, Megan, Morgan and Macy Schleusner; great-grandson, Cooper; sister, Elaine (Bill) Muszynski; and his dog, Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mildred Gullickson; and a sister, Marie Stewart. A Celebration of Life will be held at Arvid's home, 702 University Ave. in Colfax on Sunday, March 29, starting at 2p.m. Family and friends are welcome.
