IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Alayne
(Dehnhoff) Snyder
April 14, 1939 – October 25, 2025
Beverly Alayne (Dehnhoff) Snyder
At the age of 86, Beverly Alayne (Dehnhoff) Snyder peacefully passed into eternal rest on October 25, 2025.
Beverly was born on April 14, 1939, to LaVerne and Alberta (Rogstad) Dehnhoff. She was baptized, confirmed, and later married at St. Katherine's Church (Beyrer Settlement).
Raised on the family farm in rural Elk Mound, Bev attended a one-room country school before graduating from Elk Mound High School in 1957. She went on to complete her cosmetology training in Eau Claire, beginning a career she cherished for more than 40 years.
On May 31, 1958, Bev married, Donald Snyder. Their union of love and commitment was blessed with two children, Kevin and Jodi. They raised their children together on the Snyder family farm near Colfax, Wisconsin. Bev was active in her children's school and church activities and served as the general leader of their 4-H club for many years. In 1988, she and Don moved off the farm to a home near their children, continuing the close family ties that meant so much to her.
Bev was a woman of deep Christian faith, gentle spirit, and steadfast work ethic—values instilled during her upbringing. For over four decades, she worked as a beautician alongside Beulah Hjort in Colfax, all while helping Don with chores on the farm. She retired in 2001.
Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, and sewing, and she was an accomplished seamstress who lovingly made clothing, crafts, and gifts for others. She also spent time sewing and beading moccasins in a local factory.
Above all, Bev cherished her family and friends. She maintained close bonds with her siblings and cousins throughout her life, treasuring visits, phone calls, and family gatherings filled with laughter and memories. Her home was the heart of countless celebrations, where her radiant smile and kind presence made everyone feel loved.
Bev especially loved caring for children—her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and any little one she met. Her warmth, kindness, and ever-present smile will be remembered by all who knew her.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald; her parents, LaVerne and Alberta; infant sister Lauralee; brother Eugene; nieces Dawn and Robin; in–laws Eugene and Grace Snyder; Vivian and Elton Kressin; Leslie and Marlys Snyder; Imogene and Gerald Tuschi; nephew Robert Snyder; great-nephew Eugene Snyder; and many beloved cousins.
She is survived by her children, Kevin (Liberty) Snyder and Jodi (Kenneth) Dierich; sister Diane (Douglas) Lausted; grandchildren Ashleigh (Chad) Anderson, Kyra (Adam) Pickett, Kyle (Caitlin) Dierich, Kayla (Nick) Mann; and great-grandchildren Kendra Pickett, Kaydyn Nielson, Spencer Dierich, Bradlee Clemmens, Nika Mann, Dalton Sousek, Axton and Zaidyn Kahl, Cayden Mann. She is further survived by many cherished cousins and dear friends.
Bev's faith, kindness, and unending smile will continue to shine in the hearts of those she loved.
The family extends sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff of Colfax Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for the care, compassion and concern shown to our entire family while caring for Bev.
