Bonnie J. (Grambo) Knutson, 81, of Elk Mound passed away at her home on Friday, October 4, 2024. Bonnie was born on October 23, 1942, in the township of Elk Mound to Harold and Ethel (Rose) Grambo. She grew up on a farm and was a hard worker helping with chores every day. Bonnie graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1961. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. David Frogner in Colfax. Bonnie married Reuben Knutson on June 1, 1963, at St. Katherine's Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker for many years before returning to work as a dietary aid at Colfax Area Nursing Home for 24 years. Bonnie enjoyed vegetable gardening, tending to her many flower and hosta beds, and feeding the birds. She was a wonderful cook and baker, gracious hostess, and kept the family together with her holiday meals. She enjoyed doing a variety of arts and crafts. Bonnie was a life-long and faithful member of St. Katherine's Lutheran Church where she held various positions with the Ladies Aid and enjoyed helping with church suppers. She was a proud grandma to three grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and attending their school events. Bonnie is survived by children Jeff of Elk Mound, Jackie (Steve) Riley of Colfax, and Jody (Jerry) Fizel of Woodville; grandchildren Katie and Jaida Riley, Justin Fizel; sisters Linda (Mike) Martin and Tammi (Tom) Bechel; brother David Grambo; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother Dennis Grambo. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax with Reverend Shawn Kauffeld officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Katherine's Cemetery, Township of Red Cedar, Dunn County.
