David John Suvada,71, of Colfax, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospital in Eau Claire with his family. David was born on June 12, 1944, in Eau Claire to George and Katherine (Froiland) Suvada. He attended school in Colfax and graduated with the Class of 1962. David married Priscilla Goettl of Cadott on August 21, 1976, and farmed together until 2011 when he retired and moved 6 miles away to restore tractors and work in his beautiful yard, which was his pride and joy. David is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Priscilla; one son, Heath; a very special niece, Joni Strand and her son Nic; sister, Gwen O'Hara; brother, Richard (Anna) Suvada; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Suvada; and brother-in-law, Patrick O'Hara. David will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Colfax Lutheran Church, 601 River St. in Colfax, with Pastor Les Walck officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Sampson Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax. The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of life, following the burial (about 1 p.m.) at the Howard Town Hall for food and fellowship.
