Doris Malinda Rosenberg, age 89, of Colfax, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center. Doris was born on February 24, 1928, to William and Myrtle (Larson) Moen. She attended grade school at Running Valley School and graduated from Colfax High School with the Class of 1947. She married Joseph E. Rosenberg at her family home in Running Valley on November 15, 1947. They celebrated 62 years together before Joe passed away on November 23, 2009. Doris and Joe lived in the Chippewa Valley all their lives. In retirement, they enjoyed their time at their cabin on Black Dan Lake in Winter, WI. Doris's faith in God and her family are what she valued most in life. Doris is survived by her five daughters, Shirley (Richard) Brown of Osseo, WI, Linda (Bryan) Dobbs of Elk Mound, WI, Gail (James) Peterson of Elk Mound, WI, Janet (David) Kochendorfer of Bruce, WI, and Janice (Paul) Wittrock of Colfax, WI; 11 grandchildren, Scott (Kristin) Brown, Kimberly Brown, Robert J. Rajotte, Ryan (Danielle) Rajotte, Alisha (David) Arndt, Eric Peterson, Jennifer (Bob) Swoboda, Nathan (Jess) Kochendorfer, Kyle Kochendorfer, Monica (Shari Delisle) Wittrock, and Justin (Megan) Wittrock; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leila Stoll and Mary (Art) Loew; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Irene Cockeram, Clifford Moen, Ovila Nelson, Elaine Johnson, Elmer Moen, Oscar Moen, Bill Moen, and an infant sister; brothers-in-law, Herb Cockeram, Marvin Nelson, Emil Johnson, Melvin Stoll and Lloyd Peterson; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Peterson and Joan Moen; son-in-law, Robert F. Rajotte; grandchildren, Joel Wittrock and Renee Kochendorfer. The Rosenberg family would like to thank the staff at Colfax Health and Rehab Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 E. Railroad Ave, Colfax, and again on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
