Dorothy J. Young, 92, died peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Colfax Senior Living in Colfax, WI.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Colfax, WI.  Visitation will be held from 10 – 11:00 am. Wednesday at the Church.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax.

Dorothy was born January 15, 1933 to Louie and Viola (Cale) Petzrick.  She married Wilfred Young on January 20, 1952 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting United States flags and baby afghans.  She was a homemaker and partner on a dairy farm near Colfax, WI.  Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her Sons: Jeff (Marlene) Young of Colfax, WI, DuWayne (Mary) Young of Butternut, WI, 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wifred, infant daughter Betty Lou, brothers: Pete, Paul, George and sister Lucy.

The family would like to thank Pastor Jordan Herrick, and the staffs of Colfax Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care given to Dorothy.
