Gerald DuWayne Repaal, 89, of Colfax, WI, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born on the family farm on December 5, 1927, to Ole and Lola (Carey) Repaal. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1945. On March 21, 1948, Gerald married Doloris Klopp. They lived on the family farm outside of Colfax for more than 50 years before moving to the Town of Colfax. In his younger years, Gerald played baseball with the Dunn County League. He bowled in Eau Claire, Bloomer and Colfax for many years. Gerald and Doloris loved to polka dance. He liked to watch his children and grandchildren's sporting events, going to stock car races and anything that involved sports! He is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Jean) of Menomonie and Kyle (Kendra) of Colfax; son-in-law, Craig Fansler of Amery; grandchildren, Chad (Amy) Fansler of Amery, Cody (Kelly) Fansler of Amery, Denielle (Zack) Peters of Menomonie, Bayleigh Repaal of Eau Claire, and Collin (Bryanna) Repaal of Colfax; great-grandchildren, Payton Fansler and Kynlee and Sutton Peters; step-grandchildren, Amber and Rachel Hart of Amery; sister, Phyllis Estenson of Pigeon Falls, WI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don (Margaret) Klopp of Racine, WI, Russel (Muriel) Prichett of Illinois, and Gladys Klopp of Menomonie. Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Doloris; and his daughter, Colleen. Gerald will be greatly missed by family and friends, coffee buddies at the Buck Snort and sitting in his car on Main Street watching the cars go by! Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave, Colfax, with Pastor Craig Conklin officiating.
