Ilogene "Ilo" Ayres, age 71, of Colfax, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by her family. Ilo was born on August 22, 1946, in Eau Claire, to the late Art and Jennie (Kline) Werner. Ilo graduated from New Auburn High School. She married Bruce Ayres on May 3, 1978, in Eau Claire. She worked at Bremer Bank. She then owned her own business, Woodstock, and later worked at Colfax Messenger. She enjoyed fishing at their cabin on Loon Lake, kayaking, annual trips to Utah and Florida, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Bruce of Colfax; daughters, Liberty (Kevin) Snyder of Colfax and Zoe (John) Heppner of Florida; grandchildren, Heather and Jordan Aaron of Colfax; brother, Gerry (Sandee) Lowry; brother-in-law, Will Engebretson; and Lola, their beloved dog. Ilo is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Everett (Jeanette) Lowry; and sister, Olive Engebretson.
