Jeffrey A. Knutson, 60, of Elk Mound, passed away from colon cancer at home on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Jeff was born on March 17, 1966, in Eau Claire to Reuben and Bonnie (Grambo) Knutson. He graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1984. Jeff worked as a mechanic at Bear Valley Electric in Colfax and at Pleasant Valley Tree Farm in Elk Mound for many years. He had a natural talent for repairing tractors, machinery or anything with a motor. Jeff was well known in the neighborhood for being the "go-to" guy whenever a tractor or small engine needed fixing. Though a quiet man, he was always ready to lend his skill, share his knowledge, and offer a helpful hand. Many great conversations were shared over lunch throughout the years at the local Cenex store in Colfax.

Jeff found joy in restoring antique tractors and taking part in tractor pulls, preserving the past while sharing his passion with everyone around him. He was a proud member of the Red Cedar Pullers and enjoyed participating in and working at their events over the years. Jeff was a proud uncle to two nieces and one nephew and liked spending time with them.

Jeff is survived by sisters, Jackie (Steve) Riley of Colfax and Jody (Jerry) Fizel of Woodville; nieces, Katie and Jaida Riley; nephew, Justin Fizel and many relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Harold and Ethel (Rose) Grambo; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Ella (Pederson) Knutson and many relatives.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and support they provided to Jeff.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Sampson Funeral Home 1017 Railroad Ave., Colfax, with Reverend Shawn Kauffeld officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow at Viking Bowl & Catering, 108 S. Main St., Colfax. A Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Katherine's Cemetery, Township of Red Cedar, Dunn County.
