Kay M. Squires, 56, of Boyceville, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. Kay was born on May 15, 1960, in Chippewa Falls, to Rolland and Gloria (Topping) Mittelstadt. She attended Colfax High School and graduated with the Class of 1978. Kay worked in the hardware department at Cenex, Cedar Country Co-op in Colfax. On July 1, 1998, Kay married Duane Squires, at Buena Vista Park in Alma, WI. She was a member of ABATE of Wisconsin and loved to ride on the motorcycle. Kay enjoyed taking pictures, sewing, gardening, horses, drag racing and supporting her two sons in all of their sporting events. Kay is survived by her husband of 18 years, Duane; two sons, Kyle and Kirk; parents, Rolland and Gloria Mittelstadt; brother, Rolland Jr. (Mary) Mittelstadt; sister, Barbara Mittelstadt; nieces and nephews, Shanna (Nathan) Hoffman, Derrick (Katy) Mittelstadt and Logan Mittelstadt; parents-in-law, Earl and Lois Squires; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Doug) Ullom; brother-in-law, Rodney (Sandy) Squires; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Pearl Topping; and paternal grandparents, Otto and Ella Mittelstadt. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 E. Railroad Ave. in Colfax.
