Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" C. Pitts, 81, formerly of Bloomer, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Colfax Health and Rehab in Colfax, WI. Kenny was born in Bloomer on June 21, 1936, to Ralph and Mildred (Waterhouse) Pitts. Kenny grew up on the farm just north of Bloomer. While on the farm he did various tasks. When the family moved to Bloomer in 1968, Kenny started working at Indianhead Foods which was known as the Canning Factory to many. Kenny had various job duties while at the Canning Factory, but was mainly a forklift operator. He continued working there until his retirement in 1992. Kenny never had his driver`s license so he would be seen riding his 3-wheel bicycle back and forth to work year-round, even in the winter. Kenny enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards, fishing, spending time with his nieces and nephews and going to the casinos. Kenny is survived by two brothers, Howard Pitts of Rice Lake and Jerry (Tina) Pitts of Colfax; two sisters, Shirley Christianson of Colfax and Sharon (Gary) Postle of Bloomer; and sister- in- law, Karen Pitts of Fond du Lac. Kenny is further survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred Pitts; brothers, Lawrence, Ralph and Donny Pitts; a sister in infancy; maternal grandparents, David and Laura (Nerison) Waterhouse; paternal grandparents, Harden and Margaret (Sykora) Pitts; nephew, Gary Postle; brother-in-law, Robert Christianson; sister-in-law, Sharon Pitts; and several aunts and uncles. Kenny was a former member of St. Paul`s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Kenny`s family would like to thank the staff at Colfax Health and Rehab for their wonderful care provided to Kenny during his stay. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Sampson Funeral Home, Colfax with Deacon Richard Kostner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul`s Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer.
