Lillian G. Holm, 88, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at her home in Cumberland with her family by her side. Lillian was born on June 9, 1926, in Hendricks, MN, to Arthur and Marie (Johnson) Jorstad. She attended and graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1944. Following graduation she worked at the presto company in Eau Claire. After being widowed, she worked in the hospitality service for many years. She did some traveling with her older daughters to Florida, Nevada and Kansas. She then settled down in Cumberland with her youngest daughter. While in Cumberland, she enjoyed being a member of The Degree of Honor and did much charity work. Some of her favorite things to do were reading, traveling, family gatherings, gardening, playing bingo, puzzles and shopping, just to name a few. Lillian is survived by her four children, Michael J. Lemler of Madison, Alvada (Nathan) Penka of Eau Claire, Darlene (Gaylenn) Hanson of Hertel, and Theresa (Carl Dickson) Daniels of Cumberland; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Neil Jorstad, Einar (Diane) Jorstad, and Keith (Rose) Jorstad; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Marie (Johnson) Jorstad; both husbands, Donald Lemler and Raymond Holm; as well as her beloved brother, Maurice Alton Jorstad. Though there are several to thank, the family would like to recognize the Lakeview Medical Hospice Program for their kindness, help and support during these hard times. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Noon, on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Big Elk Creek Lutheran Church in rural Elk Mound, with Pastor Hal Schroetter officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
