IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loren Michael
Bergeson
August 2, 1971 – May 2, 2025
Loren M. Bergeson, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 2, 2025. Loren was born in Eau Claire, WI on August 2, 1971, to Dennis and Karen Bergeson. The family lived in Eau Claire at the time. He later moved to Colfax attending much of his school years there and graduated in the class of 1990. He enjoyed playing sports and was a letter athlete in football, wrestling and track. Loren then went on to college at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He continued to further his education at the University of Wisconsin - Stout and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Loren enjoyed learning and was especially interested in highly technical subjects and applications. He spent more than 25 years working in safety, maintenance and high-tech manufacturing fields. Loren was married to Tara Bergeson for 19 years, having two children together, Boden and Brynn. A nature enthusiast, he loved doing many outdoor activities with them including canoeing and kayaking, fishing, hiking, golfing, grilling, building campfires, and much more. Many of these times were enjoyed on and along the Red Cedar River, a favorite of Loren's. He also loved playing a variety of fun, competitive games whether it be pool, darts, cards, dice, board games, Bocce ball and others. You name it, there wasn't a game that Loren didn't want to try and win at. Loren will be greatly missed among everyone that shared these special moments with him. Loren is survived by his two children, Boden and Brynn, and Tara, all of Menomonie, WI; his mother, Karen Bergeson of Colfax, WI; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Bergeson, maternal grandparents, Werner "Van" and Lillian Sonnenberg, and his paternal grandparents, Odin and Alida Bergeson. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 starting at 3:00pm, concluding with a short service at 5:00pm officiated by Pastor Jordan Herrick, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave, Colfax, WI.
