Mark H. Johnson, 64, of Colfax, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at home with his wife and grandson by his side. He was born on November 22, 1953, to Howard and Jeanie Johnson, in Tyler, MN. Mark was a foreman for a highway paint crew up until he retired in 2012. On March 9, 1991, Mark married Bonnie Young and together they co-parented their 5 children. Mark spent his free time wood working, skiing, and taking his grandchildren to Disney World. He also enjoyed playing music, model trains and working around the yard. Mark is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his brother, Paul (Karen) Johnson; and two sisters, Kathy (David) Rupprecht and Karen Rugh; his children, Kristen (Jon) Hiitola, Scott (Crystal) Hovland, Christopher (Amy) Johnson, Michael (Jena) Johnson, Thomas Johnson, and 12 grandchildren that he loved to the moon and back. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Craig. A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Florian Gardens, 2340 Lorch Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor Jordan Herrick sharing a remembrance at 12 p.m.
