Marlene J. Ferry, 76, of Colfax, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021, due to cancer. She was born on February 21, 1944, in Colfax, to Forrest and Lillian (Schwartz) Ferry. She went to school mostly in Colfax. At a young age, she married Richard Tiegs and settled in the Hillsdale area where they farmed and raised four sons together. They later divorced and she moved back to Colfax where she chose to live a quiet and peaceful life. Marlene loved to watch old movies, talk politics and feed the squirrels. She favored an albino named Snowflake. She was also a big supporter of the military and school for the Indian children. Marlene leaves behind four sons, Daniel Tiegs of Alabama, Reuben (Catherine) Tiegs of Cumberland, Bradley Tiegs of Spooner and Shawn (Renee) Tiegs of Rice Lake; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry, Dennis and Jeff Ferry; and one sister, Donna Tande. There will be no funeral service held at this time.
