Nancy Ann Johnson, age 89 of Colfax, WI passed away suddenly at home on March 18, 2025. Nancy was born April 30, 1935 to Elmer and Edna (Nee Erickson) Hill in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1953, and worked at the Farmer Store in Colfax for several years before her children were born. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Popple Creek Church where she was a Ladies Aid President, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. She belonged to the Popple Creek Homemakers for 55 years. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. Nancy married Richard H. Johnson on October 7, 1956 at the Colfax Methodist Church. The two of them were fortunate to have each other for 68 years. They were blessed with 4 children. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children Brian (Peggy) Johnson of Colfax, Bonnie (Ivan) Clausen of Woodville, Carol (Chris) Gorzek of Eau Claire, Linda (Greg) Stehling of Colfax; grandchildren Brent (Carina) Johnson, Tracy (Dan) Varnes, Sara Schubert, Michael Clausen, Alexander Clausen, Ryan Gorzek, Nathan Gorzek, Richard Stehling and Brooklyn Stehling; and eight great-grandchildren; Adelia, Benjamin, Henry, Isabelle, Olivia, Emma, Jack and Maia; brothers, Skip Hill and John (Nan) Hill; sister, Mary (Don) Fennie; her Aunt Geri Bieniasz, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Edna Hill, sister Alice Hart, sisters-in-law Wanda Hill, Agnes Curtis and Lila Johnson; brothers-in-law, Duane Hart, Glenn Johnson and E.H. Curtis; and niece Audra Hart. A funeral service for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Noon at St. John's Lutheran Church Popple Creek, N12004, County Road W, Colfax, WI 54730 with Rev. Roger Quant oifficiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax.
