She was born July 7, 1946 in Woodstock, IL to Bartlett and Catharine (Carmichael) Loomis. She graduated in 1964 from Marengo High School in IL. She married Larry Osterberg on July 10, 1965 in Marengo. He was the love of her life. They moved their family to the Colfax area in 1974, where they operated a farm. Larry died in 1991. After marriage, Nancy was a housewife and farmer. Starting in 1987, she worked as a secretary/office manager for various realtors including: Rassbach Realty, RE/MAX of Menomonie and Tice Realty and Insurance. In 2007, after that career, she volunteered and then worked as Nutrition Site Manager for the Colfax Grapevine Senior Center until retirement at the age of 73. Nancy started the monthly bingo which still exists at the Senior Center. Nancy was a wonderful steward and advocate of the Nutrition Program. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Popple Creek. The church, congregation and faith in the Lord were important to her. Nancy always looked forward to attending church, going to the Senior Center as well as thrift shopping.
