IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrick Gordon
Schindler
November 12, 1966 – December 10, 2025
Patrick "Pat" Schindler, of Colfax, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Pat spent his entire life doing what he loved most-farming. From sunrise to sunset, the farm was where he felt most at home. His dedication, strength, and work ethic were unmatched, and he took great pride in everything he did. Pat is survived by his wife Christina "Tina" of 35 years, his mom Gloria Schindler, his siblings Lois (Jim) Johnson, Mike (Linda), Ben (Mary), Andy (Julie), Paul (Della), and Sue (Tim) Mailloux; his father- and mother-in-law Derald (Bonnie) Tuschl; his brother-in-law Jon Tuschl (Rochelle); sister-in-law Becky Tuschl; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sons Jared (Chelsea), Matthew, and Jacob, and his bonus son Troy (Shantel). He was a proud and loving Papa to Westin, Myla, and Jack, and bonus Papa to Nevaeh, Ellie, and Mylee. Being a grandpa was one of his greatest joys, and he had a special way of making each child feel loved and important. He is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Schindler, and his brother-in-law, Pete Johnson. Pat was known for being a hard worker who never quite knew how to slow down-unless it was time to watch football. He took great pride in his years as a Colfax Viking and often spoke with pride about being part of the team that took the Colfax Vikings to State for football in 1984. He had a soft spot for the simple comforts in life, especially a cold Coca-Cola and his Copenhagen. His easygoing humor, reliability, and big heart made him someone everyone loved to be around. There will be a private family service held at Sampson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for all to attend will take place on a later date. Pat will be remembered forever for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and the legacy he leaves behind on the farm he poured his life into.
