Roger Delmar Kressin, born on November 24, 1934, passed away at Amery Memory Care, Amery, Wisconsin, on February 12, 2017. Roger graduated from Colfax High School in 1952, where he was a star football player. Serving his country in the Army he also played football while stationed at Fort Lewis. Roger was a lover of outdoor life. He kept his woodshed full of wood every winter season. In spring time he had his metal detector and was out looking for lost treasures. Summers were spent fishing and Roger would catch fish where no one else could. Deer hunting trips in the fall were always filled with many exciting adventures. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Vollie Kressin. He is survived by his loving family: son, Kris and Jeannie Kressin, Hayes Center, Nebraska; daughters, Kari Kressin, Holyoke, Colorado, and Keasha Kressin and fiancé Anthony Ross, Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Granddaughters: Kindra, Kaila, Kirstin; Great Grandchildren: Braelyn, Sebastian, Sabella; Step-children: Charlea and John Paulson, Charlie and Anita DeLorge; Step-Grandchildren: Preston, Dalton, Karyn, Becca and Soleil; Siblings: Brother, Vernon and Gerry Ann Kressin, Lakeland, Florida; Sister, Marilyn and Dale Liesch, Burnsville, Minnesota; Nieces: Lori, Susan, Tonya, Gina, Heidi; Nephew: Michael. Roger is also survived by many close cousins, extended family and friends. Roger's friends and families will miss his passion for telling wonderful, humorous stories of his adventures. Visitation will be held at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Avenue, Colfax, Wisconsin, on Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 12 Noon to 3:30 p.m. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery 3:45 p.m. with Military Honors conducted by Russell-Toycen American Legion Post 131.
