Ronald J. Peterson, age 93, of Colfax, WI died Friday, September 18, 2026 at Neighbors of Dunn County under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Ron was born January 21, 1933 in Colfax, WI to Harold and Laura (Iverson) Peterson. He was employed as a social worker for Eau Claire County, WI and Hennepin County, MN for his entire career. Ron married Joan Peterson on July 5, 1997 in Colfax, WI.

Ron is survived by his wife Joan Peterson and her son Erik (Sonia) Peterson and their children Leif and Ella. His daughters: Cynthia Peterson and her son Drew, Kristine (Sean) Pivoc and their children Jules and Taylor, and Taylor’s son Lennon.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Harold and Laura Peterson.

Memorials may be designated to a charity of your choice in Ron’s name.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax. Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax is assisting the family.
