Steven Mark Olson, age 73, of Colfax, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024. Steve was born on January 8th, 1951 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, WI, to Marvin and Irma (Pfeilsticker) Olson. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1969. Steve graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a teaching degree in music and taught in Colorado. Steve returned to college (UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI), and obtained a Masters degree in counseling. He worked as a college/high school counselor for many years. Steve enjoyed singing and directing the choir at the Colfax Lutheran Church, and playing trumpet/saxophone in the Ludington Guard Band. He also enjoyed biking, gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers, and activities with his family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Irma Olson, and brother Gary Olson. He is survived by his wife Ann Olson (Wilson) of 35 years; children: Amy (Chad) Nelson, Noelle Olson, and Jaclyn Olson; grandchildren Aubrey and Coen Nelson; and brother Brad (Sandy) Olson of Owatonna, MN.
