Gordon Kiekhafer Obituary

Gordon Charles Kiekhafer, 89 of Colfax, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, August 12, 2021.

Gordy was born on February 6, 1932, in Menomonie, WI, to Charles and Margaret (Brandemuehl) Kiekhafer. He married Betty Lou Tuschl on June 10, 1967. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1950. He served with the US Army from 1955 to 1957 during the Korean conflict. He became a self-employed carpenter with his brother Daniel and friend Karmet Foss and then eventually served as a mailman in Colfax for many years. He retired in 1997 and enjoyed many years of travel and fun with Betty and the family.

He was a wonderful humble man, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his craftsmanship by many people. He loved hunting, spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. Often with a chainsaw in hand. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
