James (Jim) Krall, 55, of Colfax, passed away on August 4th, 2021, in the beautiful mountains of Keystone, South Dakota.
Jim was born in Elmhurst, IL to George and Judy Krall, on December 13th, 1965. He graduated from Colfax High school in 1984. He married Heidi Hill on June 6th,1987 in Colfax, WI. He graduated from Chippewa Valley Tech as an auto mechanic. He worked as a certified auto technician for Luther Hudson Chevrolet for 35 years. He was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church, Colfax Sno-Drifters, and Colfax Rolling Hills ATV UTV club. He enjoyed all the outdoor activities the Northwoods provided, especially hunting (deer, bear, and turkey), snowmobiling, and four wheeling with his friends and family. He also enjoyed working in the garage with his boys and friends, especially on his 1939 Chevy truck. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Heidi; three sons, Adam, Austen (Taylor), and Kyle, all of Colfax; one granddaughter, June Krall; His mother, Judy Krall of Colfax; two brothers, Steve (Tammy) and Brian (Stacy) both of Colfax. In addition, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Patricia (Ed) McClure of Alaska; father-in-law, Don (Ruth) Hill of Colfax; brother-in-law, Gary (Christie) Hill of Colfax; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, George Krall; his special uncle, John Krall; and his grandparents.
The family of Jim wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Kyle and Claudia Kressin and our special group of friends from our South Dakota trip.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Colfax United Methodist Church, 501 Cedar St. Colfax, WI with Pastor Craig Conklin officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 East Railroad Ave., Colfax and again one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow at Colfax Evergreen Cemetery.
