Phillip F. Schindler, 75, of Colfax, passed away March 27, 2022 at the Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side.
Phillip was born May 8, 1946 in Colfax, WI. The son of Leonard and Lorraine (Tiller) Schindler.
On June 26, 1970 he married Diane Bergeson at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church – Cooks Valley. Together they raised 2 sons, Scott (his children, Rachel and McKenna Schindler), Kevin (his children, Shioban (Dominick) Martino, Blake, Aidan, and Levi Schindler) and a daughter, Lori Schindler.
Phillip is further survived by his 5 brothers, David of Colfax, Steve (Joyce) of Bloomer, Leonard Jr. of Colfax, Jeff of Colfax, Danny Joe (Carrie Demuth) of Colfax, his special sister, Carol (Mark) Clements of Bloomer and sister-in-law, Anne Schindler. In addition to many nieces and nephews.
Phillip was a lifelong farmer and semi-truck-driver. An avid toy tractor collector, he liked to attend tractor pulls and hauled cattle. He was an excellent cook, often trying new recipes he found from his cooking shows. He could often be seen making his social rounds (social director) and his catchphrase of “Sani”. Daily phone calls with the late Joe Eder and brother David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lorraine, his brother, Ralph Schindler, mother and father in-law, Donald and Dawn Bergeson, nephew, Brent Bergeson, niece, Abigail Bergeson and great-great niece, “Remi” Shackelton.
A private family memorial service will be held. A Celebration of Phillips life will be held at a later date.
